Get a Curvy Booty with Brazilian Butt Lift or Butt Implants

Get a Curvy Booty with Brazilian Butt Lift or Butt ImplantsHaving a curvy and shapely booty is an increasingly popular trend, and there are two ways to get the look you want: Brazilian butt lift (BBL) and butt implants. BBL is a surgical procedure that uses fat from your own body to enhance the appearance of your buttocks, while butt implants involve placing silicone implants into your buttocks to create a rounder, fuller shape. In this blog post, we will explore both options to help you decide which one is right for you. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie performs Brazilian Butt Lifts and butt implant surgery to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and surrounding locations.

The Pros and Cons of a BBL

A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a form of plastic surgery in which fat is removed from other parts of the body and transferred to the buttocks. This type of surgery can be used to enhance the shape and size of the buttocks, giving it a more voluptuous and curvaceous look. The process of BBL has become increasingly popular, as it is considered a safe and effective way to achieve your desired results.

The pros of a BBL include the fact that the procedure utilizes the patient’s own fat, eliminating the need for artificial implants. It also allows for more precision in sculpting the buttocks, as well as less risk for complications like infection or rejection. Since this procedure does not involve any incisions, there is also no risk of visible scarring after recovery. Additionally, the fat cells transferred during a BBL are usually permanent, meaning that with proper diet and exercise, results should be long-lasting.

On the other hand, some of the cons associated with a BBL include the fact that the procedure can be quite expensive and not always covered by insurance. It can also be difficult for some individuals to find a qualified plastic surgeon experienced in this procedure. In addition, depending on the individual, fat transfer may not be able to produce dramatic results. Also, some patients may experience swelling, bruising, or numbness in the treatment area after their procedure.

Overall, BBL is considered a safe and effective way to enhance your curves with natural-looking results. If you’re considering getting a Brazilian Butt Lift, make sure you consult with an experienced plastic surgeon to discuss all of the potential pros and cons before making a decision.

The Pros and Cons of Butt Implants

Butt implants, also known as gluteal augmentation, is a type of plastic surgery that uses saline or silicone implants to add volume and shape to the buttocks. This procedure is growing in popularity due to its ability to create long-lasting, curvy results without the need for fat transfer. However, like any other plastic surgery, there are both pros and cons associated with butt implants that should be considered before making a decision.

The most significant benefit of butt implants is the dramatic increase in size and shape of the buttocks, creating a more voluptuous look that can be hard to achieve with diet and exercise alone. The implants are also relatively long-lasting, providing results for several years before needing to be replaced. Since no fat transfer is needed for this procedure, there is less risk of complications such as scarring, asymmetry, and even infection compared to other options.

One of the drawbacks of butt implants is the recovery time. While this procedure is typically done as an outpatient procedure, it can take up to six weeks before you’re fully healed and able to return to your normal activities. There is also a greater risk of complications associated with butt implants than with fat transfer. You may experience excessive bruising and swelling at the site of the incisions, as well as pain and discomfort in the weeks after surgery. Finally, butt implants can be more expensive than fat transfer since it involves more extensive surgery.

When considering butt implants, it’s important to consult with a qualified plastic surgeon to determine if it’s the best option for you. They will evaluate your body type, goals, and medical history in order to recommend the best solution for your needs. In some cases, a combination of fat transfer and butt implants may be recommended in order to achieve the desired results.

    Which is better for you?

When considering Brazilian Butt Lift or Butt Implants, there are a few things to keep in mind. Each procedure has its own benefits and drawbacks. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but here are a few key differences between the two procedures to help you make an informed decision.

Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL): BBL is a fat transfer procedure that involves liposuction to remove fat from one area of your body, such as your abdomen or thighs, and then injects it into your buttocks. The main benefit of BBL is that it uses your own fat so it won’t be rejected by your body. This makes the risk of infection and other complications much lower than with butt implants. However, since this procedure requires harvesting fat, there is some downtime associated with it. Additionally, the results may not be permanent.

Butt Implants: Butt implants are artificial silicone-based implants that are inserted into the buttocks to create a fuller look. The main advantage of butt implants is that they can provide more dramatic results compared to BBL. However, there is a higher risk of infection and other complications with implants compared to BBL. Additionally, if the implants become displaced, you may need to have them surgically removed or replaced.

In the end, choosing between BBL and butt implants really comes down to your individual needs and preferences. Consider the pros and cons of each procedure to decide which one is best for you. Talk to a board certified plastic surgeon to learn more about each procedure and discuss your options.

    What to expect during/after surgery?

If you’re considering either a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or butt implants to give your derriere a boost, it’s important to understand the surgery process and what to expect during and after the procedure.

During a BBL, fat is harvested from other parts of the body and injected into the buttocks. During the procedure, anesthesia will be used to ensure your comfort, and depending on the extent of the augmentation, the procedure can take anywhere from one to four hours.

Butt implants involve surgically placing silicone or saline implants into the buttocks. This procedure also involves anesthesia and can take up to three hours depending on the complexity.

In both cases, you may need to stay in the hospital overnight for observation, and you will be prescribed pain medication to manage any discomfort. You’ll need someone to take you home after surgery and help care for you in the first 24-48 hours while you recover.

For at least two weeks after surgery, you should avoid strenuous activities and direct contact to your butt. You’ll likely need to wear a compression garment for several weeks to support your new shape as you heal. Your doctor will also recommend that you avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for several weeks, instead using cushions or special pillows for support.

It is normal for swelling, bruising, and soreness to occur around the area for several weeks post-surgery. However, if you experience significant pain or redness in the area, please contact your doctor immediately.

Results from either a BBL or butt implants should be visible shortly after the procedure, with final results appearing after about three months. With proper care, you should enjoy your new curves for many years to come.
