This is a general breakdown of injecting dermal fillers in the under-eye area:
- The treatment provider will sterilize the injection area and apply a numbing cream.
- Small needle will be used for piercing the skin. The filler may be injected through the needle. Or, a blunt-edged cannula may be used for injecting the dermal filler.
- You may need one or more injections under each eye. The doctor will inject a filler tunnel at the treatment site if linear threading is done. This will be done as the needle is removed slowly.
- The doctor will smooth the dermal filler in the treated area.
